GOQii Band 2.0 – Specs and Availability

GOQii launched new band 2.0 with NFC payments, Health services and many more

GOQii, the personalized fitness coaching platform that was unveiled in 2014, announced the second version of its fitness band with reduced subscriptions.

The GOQii band 2.0 has an OLED touch display and and has an integrated charger on the tracker itself which can be connected to any standard USB port to charge the band. GOQii has also cut down its subscriptions rates, the new GOQii band which comes free when you buy the subscriptions and then it will come with a reduced subscription rate of Rs 1999 for 3 months, Rs 2999 for 6 months and Rs 3999 for 12 months.

The GOQii band 2.0 also have improved battery life and on a single charge, the band can last up to 14 days.

Highlight features

  1. GOQii Health services

The GOQii announced partnerships with Thyrocare, Max Healthcare while launching 2.0 band and also introduced new services like GOQii Doctor, GOQii Diagnostics, GOQii Health Locker, and GOQii HRA. Now users will be able to consult a doctor based on their fitness and can also ask for opinions about their health. Additionally, the app will enable users to book appointment with any doctor at Max hospitals for a further detailed analysis.

All the user’s fitness data, history, lab tests and other health records will now be stored at one place called GOQii health locker. These records can then be easily accessed online via the app. All these new features will be immediately available for users of the new GOQii band 2.0

2.  NFC Payments

The highlight feature of the new 2.0 band is support for NFC payments, which has been introduced in tie-up with Axis bank. For those worried about privacy, credit or debit card details won’t be stored on GOQii’s app, so there is no danger of it being hacked.

Today, GOQii founder and CEO Vishal Gondal also revealed that the company was in talks to expand the NFC functionality by partnering with more banks in the near future. Vishal Gondal added “As long as you have an account on Axis Bank, you can use the GOQii Band 2.0 to make payments at over 1 lakh merchant establishments across the country.”

The GOQii app will be available on the Google Play Store as well as on the Apple store on 5 August.
