5 Ways To Remove Bubble-Gum From Your Shoe:
♦ ICE CUBE and a scrubbing tool (screw driver or butter knife) –
Only a few ice-cubes and a screw driver or anything for scrubbing. And that’s it! You heard it right. Take an ice-cube and rub it on the Gum. Keep rubbing till the gum gets frozen up. Make sure how you hold your Shoe. Melted water may wet your sneakers of other shoes. So its recommended that hold your shoe vertically so that water falls down on the ground. It takes hardly 2 medium sized ice-cubes. Take a butter-knife or screwdriver and just scrub it side by side. You will see how easily the Gum tucks out of your shoe.
♦ WD-40 Spray –
WD-40 spray is easily available in different stores. Its a multipurpose spray so if you buy it it wont be a waste. It will be worth your money. This spray protects metals, stops squeks, drives out moisture and loosens rusted parts. So hope hoe got my point. Spray a little on the gum. Leave the shoe and the gum for 10-20 minutes. Remove the gum with a scrubber. It actually works.
♦ Plastic bag and a Fridge (which you all must probably have) –
Take a plastic bag and place the shoe inside it. It is not necessary that the whole shoe must be inside the bag, only the portion with the gum is enough. Just make sure that when you place the shoe inside the plastic, press the bag against the gum. They must stick to each other. Keep it in the Freezer for 20 minutes. Make sure the temperature of the freezer is medium. Take of the bag and just remove the gum with the scrubber. The gum freezes and comes out easily without any trouble.
♦ Peanut Butter or Mayonnaise
This method is not just a myth. It really works. Take half a spoon of Mayo or Peanut Butter and apply it on the gum. Leave it for half-an-hour. After that try scrubbing the gum from the outer edges with a butter-knife.
♦ A Hand-full of Sand
Take a hand-full of sand and pour it on the gum. After a minute take a scrubber and try rolling over the gum. Let the sand mix with it and keep scrubbing. You will notice the gum taking off easily without even a bit remaining on the shoe.
